Hugo Zamora Luna BYOT Workshop November 18th!

Hugo Zamora Luna, owner of Kodama Bonsai Studio in Mexico City, got his start in an introductory class at the age of 16. By 2000, he was leading workshops and demonstrations throughout Mexico City, eventually expanding his reach throughout the country and rising to the position of the Mexican Bonsai Federation's Didactic and teaching leader from 2001 to 2006.

Hugo apprenticed under Japanese master Kunio Kobayashi and returns regularly to Japan to work at Shunkaen Bonsai Museum to continue to hone his skills and refine his mastery to that of the highest level. He has demonstrated, judged, and curated bonsai at major events in over 20 countries around the globe, including Latin American Bonsai Federation Congress twice and the 2022 World Bonsai Congress in Perth. His wide experience with differing species, styles, cultures, schools and methods has given him a versatility to style trees from classical to modern and unorthodox. Hugo will be leading a BYOT workshop at Kashi No Ki-En on Saturday, November 18th, from 9-2. Students should bring their own trees. Tools can be loaned to those who do not have their own. Size is limited to 8 students, so please call or email to reserve your spot today! $100 818-343-4090 kimurabonsai64@gmail.com
